Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) is an over response to the use of ovulation induction medications, especially injected medications. Women with OHSS have enlarged ovaries and an increase of fluid leaking from the blood capillaries causing fluid to accumulate in the abdomen.
